Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) - also referred to as Magnetic Particle Inspection, is a NDT Technique used to detect surface and slightly subsurface flaws in most ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, and cobalt, and some of their alloys. Because it does not necessitate the degree of surface preparation required by other nondestructive test methods, conducting MPT is relatively fast and easy. This has made it one of the more commonly utilized NDE techniques. IITNDT uses Yoke and Prod method to provide this services in various components in welding/Pressure vessels/ Casting etc., especially during asset integrity services.,

Liquid Penetrant Testing - also known as Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT) or Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI) is one of the Non-Destructive Testing techniques using coloured penetrating liquid to locate surface-breaking defects through capillary action. It is commercially used across the industries in ensuring quality and integrity of machined parts, weldments, manufactured products, castings, forgings and other items that will be placed into services. IITNDT is capable of performing Liquid Penetrant Testing on all non-porous metal products, including ferrous and non-ferrous, of welding structure, casted and forged items, new components and raw materials.

Ultrasonic Testing (UT) - uses high frequency sound energy to examine components and it is capable to detect internal flaws, perform precision measurements and material categorization. Ultrasonic testing has been used in ensuring quality and integrity of new components, weld joints, including service items, and has become vital across the industrial sector. IITNDT provides Ultrasonic Flaw Detection (UTFD) using A-scan ultrasonic detectors and an extensive range of tools and techniques to match every inspection challenge. The most common anomalies include cracks, voids and porosity in metals and UTTG Services for Thickness measurement for various components

Visual Inspection, or Visual Testing (VT) - is the oldest and most basic method of inspection. It is the process of looking over a piece of equipment using the naked eye to look for flaws. It requires no equipment except the naked eye of a trained inspector. Visual inspection can be used for internal and external surface inspection of a variety of equipment types, including storage tanks, pressure vessels, piping, and other equipment. IITNDT Provides qualified personnel for Visual Inspection with qualified personnel in means of QAQC Activities especially Fabrication, welding, installation, TPI, as well during shutdown and maintenance activities

Local Stress Relieving as well Pre-heat Services - Stress relieving is applied to both ferrous and non-ferrous alloys and is intended to remove internal residual stresses generated by prior manufacturing processes such as machining, cold rolling and welding. The primary purpose of an annealing treatment is to reduce the hardness of a material and facilitate the progress of subsequent manufacturing operations. Pre-heat some time done to improve weldability especially on Alloy material or high thick steel components as per client requirement.

Positive material identification (PMI) is used to analyse and identify material grade and alloy composition for quality and safety control. A rapid, non-destructive method, positive material identification is performed on a wide range of components and assets, and provides a semi-quantitative chemical analysis. Welder qualification is part of the process of becoming certified in a specific welding process. Both employers and IITNDT offer welder qualification tests and certifications. The Welder certification is more standardized and covers subject areas employers have not traditionally tested on, such as practical knowledge.

It’s important to note that employers don’t always require welders to be certified. Some only ask that job applicants pass a welder performance qualification before hiring them. In this situation, those who pass the test would be considered “qualified welders,” not “certified welders.”

The main difference is that certified welders have written records of their test results.

CASTING UPGRADATION After the casting is taken from the mold will undergo Fettling process and testing. Upon RT, Upgrading of casting is the process to remove the defects inside or on the surface of casting by grinding, gouging and welding the castings to meet the requirements, and complete repair as per client specification.,
